When I perform paint correction, it’s not just about quickly throwing on a pad and polishing. I take great care to ensure your vehicle is treated properly. Before starting, I use a paint thickness gauge to measure the paint and make sure it’s safe to correct. This helps me avoid over-polishing and ensures that I’m working within the limits of your vehicle’s paint system. I will do a 1-2 point check per panel during initial inspection, but will do a 3-4 point check when I receive the vehicle. I will notify you if I get a reading too low that concerns me about polishing away too much of the paint system.
Additionally, I take the time to thoroughly wash your vehicle, use a clay bar or clay towel, and fully decontaminate the paint before any correction begins. This process ensures the surface is free of debris and contaminants that could cause further damage or marring during the correction process. I focus on delivering the highest quality results while maintaining the safety and longevity of your vehicle’s paint.
